PRIKKEL (Stimulus)
A research between artists and scientists around questions about stimuli processing and stimuli regulation
PRIKKEL (Stimulus) is a trajectory that started with a research between artists and scientists facilitated by Buitenplaats Doornburgh, Schweigman&, HKU and UMCU and deals with questions about stimuli processing and stimuli regulation. Within this framework Johannes Bellinx is collaborating with Boukje Schweigman to create experiences that address issues around over- and under stimulation.

Four installations (Binnenkomst, Binnenstebuiten, Rondgang and Lichtgang) have been shown in the exhibition PRIKKEL at Buitenplaats Doornburgh in Maarssen (6 October 2023 till 7 January 2024).

Johannes Bellinkx and Boukje Schweigman will continue to collaborate in this trajectory and create more installations that play with our senses and raise questions on an experiential level about how the world enters our bodies through our senses and how we focus, filter, ignore, freeze and ignite with our senses, brains and bodies.
